Each year the Federated Shop of the Year program recognizes a top shop whose owners have a demonstrated track record of excellence in such areas as customer service, quality repairs, knowledgeable staff and community involvement.

Family owned and operated, American & Import Auto Repair is a full service auto repair shop that provides service and repair for all makes and models of automobiles. Tim and Kim Smith have owned the award-winning shop 17 years and were nominated for the prestigious award by Federated member Fisher Auto Parts.

American & Import Auto Repair participates in the Federated Car Care Center program and has 10 employees, including three ASE Master Technicians, is an ASE Blue Seal shop and a member of the Shop Doctor community, an online resource to help shops improve customer relations. Actively involved in charitable endeavors in the Johnson City area, the shop serves as a collection center for the annual Federated Toys for Tots campaign.
